Current stage:
Engine work / build planning / Tej Drives project carThis is the next major Tej Drives project — a black 2004 Porsche 911 Carrera being brought back as a focused mountain-road build. The car is still in progress, with the engine going back in before the real build phase begins.
The goal is simple: build a clean, mature 996.2 that feels sharp, reliable, and purposeful on back roads without turning it into a fake race car. Reliability comes first. Then stance, sound, interior feel, weight, and the details that make it feel like a proper driver’s car.
The car is still in the mechanical phase. The engine needs to go back in, run cleanly, and prove itself before the rest of the build gets pushed.
Cooling, fluids, leaks, mounts, brakes, tires, and basic service come before cosmetic upgrades or aggressive parts.
This build is being shaped around real back roads — sharp enough to enjoy, stable enough to trust, and usable enough to drive.
The visual goal is clean and serious: lower stance, sharper presence, and tasteful details without making the car look overdone.
Seats, steering wheel, shifter feel, rear-seat delete, and cabin details will support the kind of driving the car is being built for.
